These are two of our children's education leaders at a public hearing on Common Core:
Board members and Education Commissioner Pam Stewart said they were also concerned about federal overreach, but were happy with the standard’s name change and the tweaks to the curriculum. (Scott said we didn't change the name, that these were the standards we had all along.)
They are “Florida standards that were developed by Floridians,” said Andy Tuck, the board’s newest member. Not surprised from a citrus grower - he supports "climate change" too.
With all due respect to Nancy Pelosi, Florida parents now know we had to implement the CCSS to find out what it is.
